We will be upgrading our server to where you account is currently active to provide more web hosting experience and a faster connection. Basically we will be moving data center which will be from Germany to France. So basically our Germany server will be online untill the last week of the month, and all accounts including yours will also be moved automatically to our new server.

We’d like you to know that shoutcast has been a part of iRock popularity on the internet thus shutting down the service is a big loss on our product line as we have been marked as a good host for shoutcast but everything had changed when we suddenly decided not to continue to offer such services.

It was just today that we’ve finalized all our shoutcast services that we will continue to offer it however we will not be anymore offering the reseller programs and the maximum bitrate we can offer now would be 112kbps. We can still accept custom packages but bitrate cannot go beyond 112kbps. As of the moment, all radios that has more than 112kbps is being adjusted to the max of 112kbps.

It has been so good that iRock Web Hosting Solutions have gone from this far since we’ve started during the last week of August. It came to the point where we added some services that might be a good thing to offer which other host don’t usually offer. We have grown that far and we have learned that far from within other hosters via public forums. However we came to a point where iRock was busted on with some clients that affect our good standing for the past 5 months that heavily affects our chances of serving the people through web hosting services.

We have receive accusations for some clients which in fact not true, that came to that point where the owners of this company was fairly affected due to some judgments to their nationality.

Our shoutcast server went offline just few minutes ago with no external specific reason for it cause however we are now doing our best to investigate more on this issue. We have already contacted OVH France about this outage and may somehow update you up as soon as we got their official statement.

Meanwhile we apologize for this outage as this is beyond our control. We have do not have schedule updates on the server that mean there should be no outage that will happen today. We will update you up about this issue as soon as we found out the glitch.

UPDATE 22:10 02/02/2010: Server is Back online

On January 12th, a series of earthquakes measuring 6.5 to 7.3 on the Richter scale devastated Haiti. There is now a critical shortage of essential supplies and support personnel to assist the people of Haiti through this crisis. Supplies, workers and money are needed to regain stability.

Our goal is to unite the web hosting industry to provide some relief for Haiti. Although normally competitive, we know as members of the hosting community that the power we wield as a group is much more than we can hold individually.
